LAND RECORDS AND SURVEY OFFICE BUILDING INAUGURATED

Parliamentary Secretary, Youth Resources & Sports and Land Revenue, Naiba Konyak inaugurated Land Records and Survey Office building at Mokokchung on 26th August 2010. The new office building, located near Ongpangkong Salang, with three storied was completed at a cost of Rs.60 (sixty) lakh in sixteen months.
In his inaugural speech, Naiba Konyak said even though the Land Records and Survey is a small department yet it has been playing an important role in maintaining land records and survey and asked officers and staff in the department to do justice to the people. Naiba thanked the people of Mokokchung district for their cooperation with the department and said the department has not received any report of land encroachment from the district. He also said the department has completed the work of land survey in the district and it is under scrutiny in the department.
The inaugural function chaired by Deputy Director, Land Records and Survey, Y.Z. Ngullie was attended among others by Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi, Director, Land Records and Survey, P. Acha and Head of Offices in the district.

DISTRICT LEVEL SCIENCE SEMINAR 2010 HELD AT MOKOKCHUNG

District Level Science Seminar on the Topic ‘India and the World Science: Are we there?’ was held today at Mayangnokcha Government Higher Secondary School.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, R. Asenla Keitzar who was the Chief Guest in her speech said such educational seminar encourages the students to pursue greater heights and attain competitive spirit. It also show case the potentialities of the students in the District, she added.
Altogether 10 students from different schools participated in the seminar. The participants were Imliakum NCRS, Imnasenla Dilong HS, Imlibenla Model HSS, Longrinaro MGHSS, Alemtemsu IMHSS, Mapukala SHSS, Tsuktinungla Town HSS, Benjungrenla CCHSS, Waizungla JMS and Nungshijungla QMHSS.
Nungshijungla of QMHSS was declared winner while Waizungla of JMS and Imliakum of NCRS were placed in second and third place respectively.
